Electronic Logistics – RFID-based logistic solution for digital distribution of goods
A German institute has developed a technology for marking products with RFID tags in order to equip them with an international Electronic Product Code (EPC). This innovative solution allows building a worldwide logistic concept based on business to customer (b2c) relation. The institute is looking for partners for technical co-operation and commercial agreement with technical assistance.
The EPC (Electronic Product Code) technology implemented into the RFID tags (Radio Frequency Identification) contributes to high transparency of the whole logistic chain. The complete information about the life of a product, from delivery of raw material to final product can be traced in real time. A further advantage of the technology is the possibility of including into the RFID tag a special information key containing all delivery data, also concerning toxic elements or critical chemical spares that have to be reported at the different "stations" of the product.
The technology allows making the products life traceable in real time, what assures a high transparency and reliable information concerning the current location of the product. Furthermore, the RFID tag allows identifying the products attributes.
